Jennifer Lopez was paid nearly AED1 million ($250,000) to open a car showroom in Dubai, local website arabianbusiness.com reported on Friday.

The singer, actress and former American Idol judge arrived in Dubai on Wednesday and attended the official opening of Al Nabooda Automobiles' new Audi showroom.

The new showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road is reportedly the largest Audi showroom of its kind in the world.

Jennifer Lopez, popularly known as J.Lo, was in Dubai to play a concert at Dubai’s Media City as part of her sell-out ‘Dance Again’ world tour.

While Audi Middle East is one of the official sponsors of the gig, the singer was rumoured to have been paid $250,000 (AED918,275) to be the surprise special guest at the showroom launch, arabianbusiness.com said citing a report by its sister website AhlanLive.

“It's my first time here and I am so excited. I have had a lovely day out there today, I feel the weather is really good right now, you guys are very lucky,” Lopez told her fans and clients at the Audi showroom.
